World of Steam: China

Volume 20: Jing Peng

Over the last ten years the JiTong line in Inner Mongolia has excited thousands of overseas visitors, who flocked to the region to see vast, double-headed steam trains battling with the adverse terrain and inhospitable climate.

This lavish production provides a comprehensive account of the line, and in particular the mountainous section between Jing Peng and Reshui, which came to be known as the Jing Peng Pass.

About 75% of the material has previously been published in Volume 15 of this series on VHS tape.  This exciting release features enhanced coverage (extending to March 2005), with all the quality advantages of DVD technology, without any increase in price.  The production is menu-indexed to allow rapid access to your favourite clips.

If you have visited the line, or simply have an interest in viewing heavy steam trains in impressive scenery, then this is essential viewing.
